Casket Cinema is Mark Wojahn and Wilbur Ince's underground studio-cinema. They started it in 2008. It is dedicated to showing the best in independent documentaries. It is located in the old Northwestern Casket Building in Mark Wojahn's art studio. Films usually show on the first Thursday of every month and begin at 8pm. Films are often paired with local organizations that have a vested interest in the subject matter. At the conclusion of the film we have a question and answer with the special guests. So many times after watching a documentary a person wonders what is the next step? At Casket Cinema, that can be answered immediately during the Q&A. We hope you can make the next screening.

Studio

Mark Wojahn has a studio in the Old Northwestern Casket Company since 2008. He shares the 1200' space with other photographers and filmmakers. We are usually open on the Second Saturdays gallery crawl 12-5pm, for the big spring art open studio event, Art-A-WHIRL and for the fall open building event, Open Casket.

One end of the studio is a shooting bay and a cinema wall. We are set up to shoot portraits, small film and video spots, simple music videos, tabletops and events. Give us a call to have your portrait or shoot done here with us at our great NE Minneapolis studio.
