June Documentary Update

Welcome to June y'all! and happy HOT & colorful Pride Month.
I've been a little quiet on the Patrick Scully films for the last 7 weeks. Many of you don't know, that I also work as a production designer and prop master for film. I just got to do a film up on the North Shore. Now that is wrapped, I am getting back to directing my labor of love, documentaries.
The collage above shows all of the festivals that we have applied for. We've also applied to the McKnight grant for filmmakers, pls wish us luck! It would be great to have a late summer or fall premiere of "Leaves of Grass: Illuminated". As most of you know, this movie documents the live performance of Scully's Walt Whitman at the Guthrie theater. Our editor Skip Davis continues to master this film.
As soon as we get 'Leaves' mastered we will continue to edit the biopic, "The Dance Is Not Over". We are getting closer to having the "audio cut" finished on that film. Thanks Skip for getting both films closer to completion.
As you know, this film is 98% funded by your individual donations! We still are looking for more donations or grants for finishing funds. Your gifts in April of $671 got us a step closer to our goals. Thanks Lee, Jason B, Susan, Jason T and Elizabeth!
Can you give $20? One thousand $20 donations gets us to our goal. This is what we have left to raise.
$4398 towards the edit of the films
$1200 for Color Correction of the 2nd film
$3,750 for original music
$5329 for Production and Direction
$2750 for Audio mixing
$2500 for Rights & clearances
$402 for Festival costs
The 20K goal is to finish post-production. You can donate tax deductible with our fiscal sponsor Film North, (https://filmnorth.org/.../patrick-scully-the-dance-is.../) or to our gofundme page (https://www.gofundme.com/.../patrick-scully-moviethe...) Click on those highlighted links.

Thanks for all your love and help with this project!
