Screening Party & Dvd Release

Come celebrate Mark Wojahn's new movie about Jim Bakkom's life with a free event at the Parkway Theater in south Minneapolis. 

This event commemorates the premiere of "Getting Lost..." on TPT2 on January 20th. We follow that broadcast a week later with a screening party and dvd release on January 27th, 2pm, 2013 at the Parkway theater. 

The theater is located at 4814 Chicago Ave South, Mpls, MN 55417. (612)822-3030. www.theparkwaytheater.com. Doors will open at 1:30, the event is free but donations accepted. It is open to the public. The subject, James Bakkom, will be in attendance as will director Mark Wojahn. Concessions and beer & wine will be available for purchase from the theater's snack bar. 

 ‘Getting Lost in My Own Art’ (HD, 26’46”, 2012) will have its' television premiere on Twin Cities Public Television's Minnesota Channel(TPT-MN), on January 20th, 2013 at 8pm. This is a short film about local prop and design legend James Bakkom. It will repeat the following Sunday 1/27/13 and play in three time slots: 2am, 8am, 2pm. 

The film had its' world premiere to a sold out audience at the Twin Cities Film Fest in October of 2012.

Art & Film Update 10/1/12

Hey y'all,

My show at the Rogue Buddha Gallery has been extended thru Oct 6th. I will be having an artist talk this Saturday 10/6/12 at 3pm. The Gallery is open Wed-Saturday, 3-8pm.

I have also been organizing a show of the art of production designer James Bakkom. This will open this Friday at the IFP Photo Gallery at 530pm. It will run thru Nov. 21st.  It opens next Friday at IFP MN. Jim, his son Matt and I will be in attendance.
