Wojahn Directs Music Video

In the wake of the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri,  Mark Wojahn sought out local MN rapper Muja Messiah to direct a video for his song, "It Goes Down". The song is off his new album, "God Kissed It, the Devil Missed it".  "It Goes Down" addresses Police Brutality in Minnesota. Wojahn thought it was important to bring some more attention this issue on a local level. Teaming up with Wojahn to create this video was Director of Photgraphy, David Schnack, editor Cathy Kostova, Make up was done by Deanna Johnson, Art Dept by Jeff "Tex" Schell and kraft service by Dawn Ulrich. The video was produced by Wojahn and Jon Jon Scott.  THe video was recognized by City Pages as one of the MN videos of the week, here is a link

The video premiered on World Star Hip Hop and currently has thousands of views. Wojahn says , "This video is an example of my political activism and how I like to inteact with the community. Art doesn't always have to be on the gallery walls. It exists everywhere and in many forms. This month, the art I made was a collaboration with musicians and a film crew".

We hope you can check out this video on the many places it has been posted or here on Wojahn's Youtube channel;
